UFC 271 betting overview

Robert Whittaker has a chance to redeem himself when he takes on middleweight champion Israel Adesanya for the second time at cfu 271.

Adesanya defeated Whittaker via a second-round knockout at UFC 243 in October 2019 and, after three successful defenses, he’s starting to circle the division.

The late style master was a dominant force at middleweight, but he suffered his one and only loss when he moved up to light heavyweight to face Jan Blachowicz.

Blachowicz exposed Adesanya’s lack of wrestling skills and Whittaker can also find a path to success if he follows this plan.

Whittaker has a background in freestyle wrestling and should be able to comfortably control court proceedings.

If the fight follows the same pattern as their first encounter, which was on the feet, then Adesanya looks likely to pick up another knockout victory, but Whittaker insists he has learned from his mistakes and that can be upset.

The co-main event is a heavyweight clash between power punchers Derrick Lewis and Tai Tuivasa.

Lewis holds the cfu record for most wins by knockout (13) and Tuivasa has six wins by knockout since signing for the cfuending each of his last four via this route.

It could go either way with just one punch required to end the fight, but the value lies with Tuivasa, who is riding a four-fight winning streak, to earn a first-round victory.
