Saturday betting preview

The Hundred fans are in for a treat Saturday with four games on the cards and one team to watch is the men’s team the Trent Rockets.

After a comfortable six-wicket win over Birmingham Phoenix, the Rockets secured back-to-back victories with a seven-wicket thrashing of Northern Superchargers on Tuesday.

Alex Hales impressed in both games with scores of 58 and 43, but compatriot and opening partner Dawid Malan also got in on the act with an unbeaten 88 last time out against the Superchargers.

Their bowling department also managed to perform in the absence of Rashid Khan last time out with Daniel Sams taking his total wickets to six in the tournament, and the Rockets look a great bet at a shadow of odds to win at Old Trafford.

New Zealand’s Sophie Devine missed The Hundred’s inaugural season last year as she prepared for the World Cup, but she’s set to lead a strong Birmingham Phoenix side this year.

And in their opener against Welsh Fire, Devine could lead by example after a superb Commonwealth Games for the White Ferns.

In five matches, Devine managed 177 points, finishing with a 51 unbeaten run against England at Edgbaston, and she can top her 23.5 point line at Sophia Gardens.
