Saturday betting overview

The switch to a 4-4-2 formation and the revitalization of Roberto Firmino has improved Liverpool’s performance, and wWith Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota set for long spells on the sidelines, Firmino should continue to be an important part for the Reds.

The Brazilian has scored eight times in 13 games in all competitions this season and can have another big impact against a Nottingham Forest defense which have conceded 23 goals, the second most goals in the Premier League.

The 6-4 with bet365 about Firmino finding the scoresheet is very appealing.

Something that has been lost in the Trent Alexander-Arnold defense debate is that he is yet to register a Premier League assist this season, despite averaging 11 per season over the past four recent campaigns.

However, the right-back appears to be adapting to his team’s new system as he returns from injury and his ability to play means assists are likely to return sooner rather than later.

Alexander-Arnold registered an expected assist total of 0.4 in their midweek clash with West Ham, indicating he could be close to returning to his usual creative self.

The 5-2 on the defender registering an assist against Forest seems a solid proposition, especially considering how weak Forest is in defending from set pieces. No elite team has conceded more set plays than Steve Cooper’s team.

Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye form a combative partnership in central midfield for Everton and both have shown a predisposition for big tackles in the middle of the park which could see them fall on the wrong side of the referee.

The pair have six yellow cards between them in just 13 starts and in what looks to be a close and competitive game against Crystal Palace, they are both expected to pick up a card.

The Eagles have suffered 163 fouls this season, the most in the Premier League, and a few stray challenges could earn both Onana and Gueye a booking, or worse.
