OF THE LPU ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT | DAVIS NUAIMI – ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

As we continue to navigate the current realities of enrollment and the sustainability of our programs here at Life Pacific, we have made the decision to end the men’s and women’s wrestling programs effective the 2022-2023 academic year. First and foremost, we would like to thank and honor Coach Roye, Coach Jesse and the student-athletes for their tremendous work and dedication to the wrestling program. The decision to cut the fight was not easy and many factors go into the process. Following COVID, we have seen enrollment challenges and harsh realities in all areas of higher education, and LPU is no different. The Covid has played a significant role in these challenges and, unfortunately, it has imposed the reality of this difficult decision to reduce our programs. We would also like to thank the Cascade Collegiate Conference for welcoming us as an associate member for the past 4 years, sponsoring our wrestling programs within their conference.

Please join me in prayer for all those affected by this decision, including our wrestling staff and student-athletes.
