Match Preview

Friday’s T20 Blast TV action comes from Hove, where Sussex host a Gloucestershire side who had a tricky derby clash with Somerset scheduled for Thursday night.

Sussexes, well beaten by Group South leaders Surrey on Wednesday, have had an uneven start to the campaign and the best Blast bet of the day could be Yorkshire at 11-10 to beat Birmingham Bears in Group North.

The Bears have won five of their first seven games in the Twenty20 competition this season, but Yorkshire could easily have matched that tally after two thrilling games against Roses’ rivals Lancashire.

White Rose County had to settle for a draw at Old Trafford before blowing a big chance at Headingley on Wednesday, falling just four points short of a goal of 214.

Lancashire look like serious title contenders, so Yorkshire should be buoyed by their performances against the leaders and are worth backing the Bears’ impressive Blast record.
