Chelsea qualified for the FA Cup semi-finals with a 5-0 win at home to Birmingham on Sunday and they can climb to the top of the Women’s Super League by beating Tottenham at Kingsmeadow.

Emma Hayes’ side have collected 16 points from their last six league games and won 2-0 against Spurs when the sides last locked horns in May 2021.

Fifth-placed Tottenham have only impressed in their third WSL campaign and are on course for their best-ever finish.

However, seven of their eight league wins have come against bottom-half sides and they appear to have lost goalscoring talent in recent games, drawing 0-0 at Reading and losing 1-0 at home to Manchester City. .

Spurs have relied heavily on their solid defence, conceding just 12 goals in 16 league appearances, and they are able to avoid a hammer blow against the Blues.

A low-scoring win at Chelsea looks the most likely outcome, ensuring the Blues remain firmly on course for a domestic double.

A less competitive fixture could be on the cards at the Academy Stadium where fourth-placed Manchester City host fourth-from-bottom Everton. City should be far too strong and are 1-10 down to take the points.
