Match Preview

Coventry still have an outside chance to make the Championship playoffs this year and striker Viktor Gyokeres has been a major factor in that. The Swede has 11 goals to his name this season and is expecting another when his side travel to Cardiff.

The Sky Blues came from behind to beat Reading 3-2 at the weekend and have a favorable run of fixtures to come, playing four of the last nine sides in their next five games.

Cardiff came out of a major problem with three rebound wins before defeat at the hands of Millwall on Saturday. The Bluebirds now have a ten-point cushion on Reading one point below them.

However, they have let 50 goals slip in 30 games this season and could be punished by Gyokeres, who have scored three in their last five games in all competitions.

With fellow forwards Matt Godden and Martyn Waghorn absent, expect the 23-year-old to carry Coventry’s main goal threat.
